Macdonald from Govan, Gorbals Glasgow

Researching: descendants of MACDONALD who lived in (Norfolk St) Gorbals, (Clarence St) Govan & (West & Weir Sts) Tradeston, Glasgow between 1890 and 1944. Parents JAMES MACDONALD (c1865) and Marion Beaton/McInnes (1871/1944). Children Alexander (1909) & Catherine (Kate) (1906) MACDONALD (born Govan, Glasgow c1909) also step-children Hugh (1891), Sarah (1894), Hector (1896), Mary (1898) & Annie-Beaton McInnes (1900). James & Marion/Sarah married at Glasgow 1906. James Macdonald (c1865) parents were Alexander Macdonald and Catherine Gillies from Parish of Kilmuir, INVERNESS. Marion Beaton (1871/1944) parents were Hector Beaton (1832) and Annie Beaton (1842) from Mull ARGYLL. Marion previously married to Hugh McInnes in 1890, Hugh McInnes died in 1902. Would like to make contact with any children or grandchildren of Marion Beaton/McInnes/Macdonald, James Macdonald or Hugh McInnes.

Thanks for that. Yes I have obtained both James's and Marion's birth CERTS from SP. I have also obtained a copy of the 1911 CEN for James & Marion which lists their children up to that point in time. What I am hoping to do through this site is make contact with any of James & Marion's children or more probably - grand-children (or even g/grand-children). Cheers. Keith

Thanks for that. I have uploaded info on Lost Cousins but don't have any expectation of it being useful. The earliest reference they will allow is the 1881 Scottish CEN which is 2 generations earlier that I wish to promote. The latest information I have is taken from the 1911 CEN listing James/Sarah's children as Catherine (Kate) and Alexander born 1906 & 1909 respectively. Best regards, Keith
