A look at Janet's birth entry would hopefully give you an address as the most obvious Georgina Rutherford is living at Edinburgh in 1871..

hi annette,sorry for taking so long to reply to your post,you were right,, euphemia badger/rutherford and george rutherford were georginas parents, turns out janet/margaret /mary ann were georginas illigimate daughters,problem im having now is finding out who the father of mary ann was,mary ann was born illigimate 18 aug 1880 in dunfermline no father showing on birth cert,yet georgina married richard black 28 dec 1880 in dunfermline same year,1881 cencus shows mary ann living with euphemia in next house as grandaughter, sorry i took so long getting back to you, regards...bill

I didn't see Georgina with Euphemia and George in 1861 so I didn't think she was their daughter especially as George gives the girls relationships as boarders.

I see a Euphemia Rutherford born 1854 with George in 1861 transcribed at Ancestry...............is this your Georgina?

Does Mary Anne not give any hints about her father on her marriage entry?

hi annette,i think your right,does not seem that georgina was the daughter of euphemia/george as you say she does not appear anywhere with them, but they are related in some way just not sure what, they all moved from tranent to towhill in fife at the same time ,and i found out that euphemias mothers name was( janet hogg), same as georginas daughter janet hogg rutherford , regarding mary ann, nothing to indicate on birth cert who the father was, really has me puzzled. anyway will let you know if i find out more.....william

hi annette, found out a little more regarding mary ann, seen some postings on mundia site, has euphemias daughter devina as mother with colin smart as father, when you consider devina/colin married in 1884 mary ann being born in 1880 looks like they have adopted her, so guess will never find out who the birth father was , .....william
