John robertson born 1861 of Sleat.
Catherine Robertson born 1863 also of Sleat

Their parents are Effy Macpherson born 1821 and
Donald Robertson born 1821 both of Sleat.

Where is Catherine? Is that her living with her grandmother Janet Mcpherson? The three children above are still with the parents in 1881, although Mary has married and had a child. Still no Catherine with them. Have you found her in later censuses?

John and Malcolm are still living with their parents in 1891
John is living with his unmarried uncles Malcolm and Norman Macpherson and aunt Mary Macpherson in 1901, he is also still unmarried.
Have you found him in 1911?

I had a look at the marriage index at SP and there is a marriage between a Catherine Robertson and John Maclean in 1886.
