Looking for Delaneys from Dunbarton

Hi, Iam looking for any records for Patrick Delaney who may have been born in Dunbarton? His mother Flora McAardle was from there, but her other children were all born in Stockton Co Durham. I have recently been told that he died in the first world war but can't confirm that... Thanks for any help.Katy P.
