Tent dwelling?.....

Thanks to some information very kindly supplied by another member on here, I am now finding out some more about my scottish roots. However, i was intrigued by the information, taken from the 1881 census which shows my ancestors in Old Kilpatrick at this time giving the dwelling place as tent 16? Can anyone tell me, did they really live in a tent? Or is there another explanation? I shall look forward to your replies !!
