Searching for the death of my GGF, John Campbell, born Longleys, Perthshire 1826 the son of Duncan Campbell ( occupation Stonemason) and Elizabeth Baxter. John Campbell was a sea captain and could have died anywhere.
He married in Liverpool UK in 1864 -- I have his Master Mariners Certificate issued in Dundee.
He was listed on the 1871 Liverpool UK Census with his family, also information re a shipwreck in the West Indies in 1868 when all the crew were rescued and returned to Britain. Have searched world-wide so far without finding any clue.
His family migrated to Australia in the late 1870s -- have found all other family member deaths but alas not his.
Can someone please help.
