The Census can be a very useful source of information about children born to a couple.. Have you tried to find Peter Boyle and Mary in the 1891 and 1901 Census at
www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk ?
All the best for your research.

Ina should have all of this lot. If she doesn't pick up on the thread I'll see what I have.
Searching for Keogh, Kelly, Fitzgerald, Riddell, Stewart, Wilson, McQuilkin, Lynch, Boyle, Cairney, Ross, King, McIlravey, McCurdy, Drennan and Woods (to name but a few).
Also looking for any information on Rathlin Island, County Antrim, Ireland.

Greetin's Maceill,
I have quite a few records of Currans on file.
My Aunt Cathy was born in the Saracen Head building on the Gallowgate,
very posh in the twenties.
The Family originally came from Ireland but some of them were in Linlithgow before moving to the Calton.
I see that Peter and Bridget married in Glasgow,
and Margaret was born here and Mary in Carrick.
Were Bridget's siblings: James, Mary, and Patrick all born in Carrick.
As Peter and Mary Biggan were married in the Calton, I assume the priest was either Michael McGinn or Father Godfrey.
http://www.alphonsus.fsbusiness.co.uk/home.htm
The McGinn family are legend in the East end
Here is a wee extract from Matt McGinn's book
We had a picture of Canon O´Reilly in the house. It hung beside the mantlepiece, commanding as proud a place as that of the Blessed Virgin, of Christ bleeding on the Cross or even that of the Celtic Team in full colours which graces an ornamental plate beside the set-in bed.
Canon O´Reilly, although before my time, was a legend in the Gallowgate. A legend of a walking stick and a canon´s hat bursting upon the youths and young men in the area and bashing them physically in an unholy effort tto break up coin tosing and card schools and games of football which were favourite pastimes.
He would lash out regardless of the religion of his victims, safe in the knowledge that most of them had been baptised Catholics. He was fortified in the wisdom that no one would hit him back if only because there where stories credited as true by the local Catholics that such and such a man had a bad leg simply because he had tried to kick a priest., the crippled limb being an immediately inflicted Act of God! One poor man´s arm was permanently stationed parallel with his shoulder because the Lord (so it be said) had not been at all pleased by his attempt to take a punch at one of the clergy.
These Acts of God were speculative, but there was no speculation regarding the violent sorties of Canon O´Reilly into the closes and backcourts of Ross Street, Kent Street, Bain Street, the Gallowgate and Well Street.
Nothing like a wee bit o trivia tae keep us gaun

Hi again Maceill,
I had a wee look at the Currans.
I don't recognise your Bridget connected to my Aunt's side.
No one is sure exactly where they came from in Ireland, but the family visited Kilcar (lots of Curran's there) in the south west coast of Donegal.
I notice you say Warren as the mother's maiden name,
There is a Patrick Curran born in Carrick c. 1856,
Father Patrick mother Bridget Barron. it is on the IGI and they may have misprinted it.
Will have a look on the computer at home this week-end to see if there is anything else.

On www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk look for a 49 year old Peter BOYLE in the 1891 census to see those in the household.
