It might be worth while contacting the club, info@clydefc.co.uk , directly to see if they can help out. They may be able to refer you to publications and the like concerning that era of the Bully Wee. 4-0 in front of 90,000 to win the cup! Changed days.

Jimmy KIRK
Rab,
Thank you for answering my post. I have sent an email to the club but without success, they didn't bother getting back to me. I also went on to bully wee board had a couple of responses but I have had problems logging back onto the site again, I’m not sure what the problem is.
I shall have to email them again.
Thanks Ali

That is a shame that the club did not get back to you on that. Finding info on any club pre-war is a but of a nightmare. Another option might be to contact the trust, info@clydetrust.org , which may not yield anything but still worth a try.
Other than that the only other alternative is books on the history of the club but I'm not sure how many of those there are or what they would contain. My father-in-law gave me a book called "Still seeing Red" which was about Third Lanark who folded before I was born. This had lots of information on the club and it's players from every era. Something similar for Clyde would probably be your best bet if there is something out there. That book was written by a fan and I'm sure there must be similar Bully Wee fans with similar knowledge.
