Hi David:
The year is 1864, and it is a death certificate, I thought it might be undertermind. Makes is hard to find out if its really your dfamily member huh?
Thanks,
KAren

In that year the index that was produced some time in 1865 would not have included the age, hence the "U" - unknown - in terms of the ScotlandsPeople index, - which is not to say that there was not an age on the actual death register entry ............
Having had a keek at the death register entry involved, I can state that the age at death was 1 and 8/12 years, ........... cause of death "consumption" .......
