Haggis Hunt.....

Post by Tracey » Sat Dec 10, 2005 12:23 am

Why  :? and why this particular time of year :?:

I remember seeing the site about this ages ago and a post on a forum on A.N Other site reminded me to ask.
It does look like fun though and would be tempted to enter the competition of the prize was at The Witchery or The Scotsman Hotel rather than Gleneagles

Tracey,

Well you see like most other 'game' they require to be 'hung' in order to bring out the flavour correctly.

With Burns Night being about 5-6 weeks away and the Haggis requiring 4 weeks minimum to mature properly, most Haggis Hunters will be donning deer-stalkers (should that be haggis-stalkers) et al and venturing out to see what this years harvest is like.

What with all this global warming going on the future of the Haggis Hunt may be in jeopardy

I'd like to be apathetic but I really can't be bothered.

Looking for blacksheep & not finding any with
Groats & Stevensons in Orkney, Hood's in Dundee/Angus, Mclaren's in Clackmannan and Jolly's in Kincardineshire. There may be more!
