Adamsons in Fife and Lothians.....

Hello everyone and a festive greetings. I'm a new member hoping for help in piecing together my Adamson family history in Fife and the Lothians. Areas of particluar interest are Cleish,Kennoway, Kettle Hill. Have got back to end of the 18th century so have many other names married in which may assist other members. Cheers Colin.

Hi Catriona. Merry Christmas. Thanks for your message. These are the Adamsons I am trying to find out more on. DAVID ADAMSON, (Great, great,great,great,great grandfather, born Kennoway, Fifeshire. c1720-27 Married to JANET KID on November 8 1740 in Parish of Kennoway. Janet appears to have been born in Parish of St Andews and St Leonar, either in 1717 or 1724

CHILDREN:
JOHN ADAMSON, (Great,great,great,great grandfather, born Kennoway, Fifeshire, January 13, 1747. Parents DAVID ADAMSON and JANET KIDD, Married AGNES CASSILS, born March 6,1747 in Paisley Burgh. Her parents were John Cassils and Janet White.

ROBERT ADAMSON , born June 21, 1751 in Kennoway. Parents DAVID ADAMSON and JANET KID. Married to MARY SMALBRIDGE
