Looking for Moran Family .....

Post by maddy706 » Tue Jan 03, 2006 12:17 am

Need help with Thomas Moran born 1829 in County Mayo ?
He married Mary McNamara in Louisburgh 1859 , they had a daughter Helen born in Mayo 1861. They then came too Scotland.
I know Thomas parents were tedious or fedious Moran & Honora Hester. But no nothing more about them or even any siblings off Thomas.
Any help would be appreciated

Thanx

There also seems to be a death of a Thomas Moran (born 1829+/- 2yrs) in 1884 in Midlothian (not in Stow though , but who knows, they may have moved?) on the Scotlands People Web site at: I would think it was worth a look, but can't be 100% sure its your man. If it is your man the death entry should give you the names of his parents.

Best wishes
Lesley

Hi Maddy
I know Thomas parents were tedious or fedious Moran & Honora Hester.
Did you find these names on Thomas's death entry? Why I'm asking is if the name of his father was maybe difficult to read, if you were able to post the image onto this site, I'm sure somebody would probably be able to descipher the handwriting and maybe help you with the name.

Best wishes
Lesley

Hi Maddy
Hang on in there! There are instructions somewhere which someone typed out which were easy to follow for uploading an image. I'll go have a look and see if I can find them!

I'll be back...

Best wishes
Lesley

Hi Maddy,

Lifted from another thread...
Nelmit wrote:Hello again,

I'm not too great at explaining but hopefully this will help you to upload your image.

You have to be logged in and then.....
Click on Gallery (above)
Click on upload file
Click browse
This takes you to your computer where you should find the image you want to upload.
Double click on the file.
Click on continue - Your file is now uploaded.
I think you then have to wait for approval from TSAG who will post it in the gallery.

Good luck,

All the best,
