Hi,
can anybody tell me the difference between a Wright and a Joiner in the 1800-1850 period in farmlands around Dumfries.
I obviously have got preconceived modern day ideas of the occupations. I also appreciate that their are various types for each occupation, but the documents stating these occupations do state Joiner on one and Wright on another.
Thanks Martin
