Searching for McCullough's and Beaumont's/Kilmood .....

Post by Canuck » Wed Jan 18, 2006 8:39 pm

I can trace back as far as my great grandparents in County Down. All of their children were born in Kilmood County Down. They eventually moved to 4 Witham St. Belfast where they lived until the 1950's. The children of John McCullough and Martha Beaumont {Bowman} were:

Jane McCullough - born Mar 05, 1864
Robert McCullough - born Mar.02, 1866
Agnes McCullough - born Apr 25, 1868
Charles McCullough - born May 09, 1870
Maggie McCullough - born July 03, 1872 - my Grandmother
Martha Elizabeth McCullough - born Oct 01, 1874
John McCullough - Jan 15, 1879

This was all from the LDS website. I cannot get any more info on-line as Ireland does not have very much on-line help for searching!

Anyone searching for the same families - I would love to hear from you!

Hi Terry, I am also researching McCullough/McCulloch from Co.Down. I wonder if your John McCullough has any connection to John McCullough & Elizabeth Ewart - poss parents? Also Samuel McCullough - poss brother?? he was married to Agnes Robinson or Robertson. Did your McCulloughs go to Scotland from Ireland? My Samuel McCullough went to Lanarkshire in the 1850's. Thanks, elmca :)
Researching these names (and more)..
Gibb (Ayr/Lanark/Edinburgh)
Sommerville (Lanarkshire)
Young (Lothian & Borders/Fife)
Crease (Edinburgh)

McCullough's of Down

Thanks for your reply Elmca. I don't have any info on John and Martha McCullough except for the birthdates of their children and the Parish where they were born. I think John should have been born around 1838/1839 and Martha around the same. I am assuming they were born in Kilmood as well but cannot find any records.
What info do you have on your John McCullough?
