Hi, My Ancestor Daniel McKechnie was in the 1891 at Rutherglen road no. 134 hutchesontown glasgow. at 1901 his wife was living with her brother in Camlachie still married with her children. Has Daniel done a runner.

What age was Daniel on the 1891?
There is only one Daniel McKechnie aged 30+ in the Glasgow 1901
Daniel McKechnie age 48 in Glasgow Calton.
Your Daniel could have died between the censuses but there doesn't appear to be a Daniel McKechnie death in Glasgow that would fit.
If you can't find him in Glasgow then you have to widen the search.
You could also search the poor relief records at the Mitchell library, If Daniel deserted his wife it's possible that she made an application.
