David Watson was born in Fordoun, Kincs 1782 and married Kathryn Barclay in 1818, they crofted Hareden in Arbuthnott. David was in theRoyal artillery prior to his marriage and served on board ship as a gunner in Halifax, Nova Scotia in the war with the Americans in 1814. Strange to think than ancestor was in Canada before I came. I am descended from Mary their eldest daughter born 1819. I have some met some other descendents from their other children, would love ot hear from more. David was the only ancestor that I have found that left a will. He died in 1859.
