Robert Shannon and Mary Kerrigan.....

Can anyone help I have searched SP and cannot find a marriage certificate for Robert Shannon or Mary Kerrigan. I also cannot find a death certificate for Mary. The only information I have are the marriage certificate of their son Thomas Shannon married Glasgow 1942 he was born in Bridgeton in 1915 the youngest of a medium sized family. I would be grateful of any help trying to solve this one.

Any chance Robert Shannon and Mary Kerrigan married in Ireland?
Searching for Keogh, Kelly, Fitzgerald, Riddell, Stewart, Wilson, McQuilkin, Lynch, Boyle, Cairney, Ross, King, McIlravey, McCurdy, Drennan and Woods (to name but a few).

Also looking for any information on Rathlin Island, County Antrim, Ireland.

You have Thomas Shannon's marriage certificate.. does it say if his mother is deceased? :-k
If she is alive in 1942 there is a chance that she is still living after 1955 and therefore not on SP.

Sorry for not getting back right away have been of line till now. On Thomas Marriage Cert his mother is deceased that what is making it hard I cann ot find her death certificate either.

It is a possiblity that they were married there but I never heard about Ireland I have always been lead to beleive that they came from Glasgow.

Does the certificate not tell you the place and date of his parents marriage?

If this is a major brick wall ](*,) then could pop over to Park Circus and look at the original which will almost certainly tell you when and where they married.
Just to make it worth your while.... take a list of other things to look for :wink:
