Gloryer

Might it be worth while posting an enquiry in a local newspaper?

www.banffshire-journal.co.uk for example

Hi
It seems to be about 15 miles east from Tomintoul I think - at www.old-maps.co.uk, check out:
Grid Ref: 317448,819006

There seems to be a distance indicator on the road saying Ballindalloch 15.

And there is a castle
http://www.celticcastles.com/castles/mu ... ation.html
Ballindalloch Castle - a magnificent 16th century castle and the family home of the Macpherson-Grants, Lairds of Ballindalloch since 1546. Located just off the A95.
...with a ghost
http://www.paranormaldatabase.com/lowlands/moradata.php
Location: Bridge of Avon - Ballindalloch Castle
Type: Haunting Manifestation
Date / Time: Unknown
Further Comments: Seen outside the castle, this woman carries a letter addressed to her lover that will never be delivered. Inside, the building is haunted by two female ghosts (each in different locations) and a former male owner who walks towards his wine cellar.
For general area see maps at:

Best wishes
Lesley
