Herd's of Fife.....

Would be very interested to hear of any Herd decendants like myself, below is my direct line back to my 4th Great grandfather. If any of these people rind accord with peeps out their I would dearly love to hear from you.

I have 247 people on my tree decended from William Herd 1760, but not many who are of mine or my mothers generation other than my immediate family.

So by doing this post I may get lucky and find my living Herd cousins.

Here is my direct line.

(Mum) Margaret Herd

(Grandad) Stewart Herd b 1912 Auchterderran, Fifeshire

(G/Grandad) Thomas Allan Herd b 1868 Kinglassie, Fifeshire

(GG/Grandad) David Herd b 1836 Auchterderran

(GGG/Grandad) David Penman Herd b 1802 Kinglassie

(GGGG/Grandad) William Herd b 1760 Kinglassie

(GGGGG/Grandad) William Herd not much more know on him not even his wifes name

Any way hopefully out there in the big wide world there may be fellow descendants of those in my direct line and if so I would dearly love to hear from you all.

Afraid I'm not related Ian, but a Stewart Herd was a witness at my great great grandmothers wedding in Auchterderran in 1864 and I think he was probably born in 1827 to a David Herd and Isabella Rennie.

Also wondered if you'd seen the Herd Family photos on the Fife Family History site at http://www.fifefhs.org/Photos/photoquery.htm

Stewart Herd 1827 is/was my 2nd great grand uncle and his parents David Penman herd and Isabella my 3rd Great grandparents. I will def go and check out the photos

David Penman Herd was my g g g g grandad!
You are descended from David Herd 1836
I am descended from Davids brother Alexander born 1838!!
I'd appreciate if you get in touch using the following email, then we can share some info!!
You are a distant cousin. The family is literally huge, I have 120+ Herds in my tree.
