Where is Andross???.....

I have a record where the place of birth is simply stated as Andross. It is on an 1855 birth registration as place of birth for the mother. I have no idea where it might be, but the child was born in Ross and Cromarty. The child's father was born in Glasgow.

Any ideas?

Hi Nina,
You could try ARDROSS. Maybe comes under Easter Ardross.
It's abt 4 miles north of ALNESS in Ross & Cromarty.
