Mclaughlin/Doherty/Foley - I need help .....

Post by boydi » Sat Apr 29, 2006 9:04 am

Hi all, I am a newy but think it is great site, spent the greater part of the day ignoring lifes boring bits, having a look at everyones problems & thought it was time I posted my own.
Margaret McLaughlin born Burt & Inch, Upper Fahan, Donegal, 15/4/1964. Father, Patrick McLaughlin. Patrick owned 19 acres in Kilderry in 1876, I think. Mother, Sarah Doherty.
Margaret McLaughlin married William Doherty, farmer. Not sure when but have 2 children that I know of.
Margaret Doherty born c 1882, married Thomas Patrick FOLEY in I think Antrim. She died in 1918 in Old or West Kilpatrick. Margaret & Thomas address was Kilbowie Rd Clydebank. Margaret & Thomas had a son, William James Foley, his address was 27 Sarah Tree Ave Broad Lane Coventry Warwickshire in 1918. Margaret's husband remarried after her death, new wife, surname O'Neill.
Sarah Ann Doherty born c 1886, all Aust Certs show Donegal as birth place, arrived in Australia in 1910, married in 1915, father still alive at time but mother deceased.
Hope someone can help
Regards Ruth

Ruth

I'm not offering you any help. My knowledge of Irish Genealogy is nil trippled.

However I do want to say "A warm Welcome" to Talking Scot. Glad you've already found lots to interest you on the site. Hope one of our Irish "experts" comes along to give you a helping hand.

Kind regards

Catriona
