John Miller and Elizabeth McMaw.....
John and Elizabeth were my grt g/parents and were both born c. 1850 (no definite dates).Their youngest child Henry was my g/father and he had 8 older sibliings.Their address when they married was 29 Rottenrow, Glasgow and John was a Blacksmith.Would appreciate any info whatsever on John's parents William and Agnes (nee Stewart). Elizabeth's father James McMaw died a horrific death in 1874 when he was fatally burned with Sulphuric Acid at St. Rollox chemical works in Springburn when he only 45. I believe the McMaw family originated from Northern Ireland.

hi Dusty
Have you tried a search on Scotlands People for the death of John's mother Agnes Miller (nee Stewart). You can search using two surnames for a female. if you can find it, her death entry would give you her parents' names.
best wishes
