Is this enough information for me to find my ancestors ?....

Donald "The Weaver" Campbell came with his 3 sons to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
Malcolm, born October 15th,1825
Angus, born in 1830 (my GGgrandfather)
Neil, born in 1833
They were Roman Catholic
The first proof is a marriage in 1857(in Cape Breton), so arrived between 1834 and about 1855
My aunt says they originated from North Uist, but her/the family's information has been quite consistantly inaccurate.

The wee bit of the 1841 census I've seen online never has the 3 brother's names together in one family, or the parents with a different name.

you'll notice the only info I have on this Donald is his occupation-Something tells me the family may have been larger, and possibly Donald's wife died before departure to Canada, but it's speculation, isn't it ?

Hi:

You can check the passenger lists of ships coming into Canada and you may be able to get a fix on where they originated. The passenger lists also indicate at the very least, the number of people in a party (x adults and x children), but most often list the immigrants by name and age. You'd then be able to determine how many children and if his wife made the voyage.

It will also provide the date and place they arrived.

Hope this helps,
