We are looking for my husbands sister who was adopted her birth name is ELIZABETH SHERGOLD MCCLUSKIE CUNNINGHAM born 27 August 1943 Crookedholm.

Her adopted name is MARION ELIZABETH LOVE MOFFAT
adopted fathers name William Love Moffat
adopted mothers name Marion Watson Moffat nee Stark

We belive Marion/Elizabeth married in 1963 in Sotland but to whome is unknown.

IF ANYONE KNOWS ANY INFORMATION REGARDING THE ABOVE PLEASE CONTACT US HOWEVER SMALL THE DETAILS..... MY HUSBAND ONLY FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS A WEEK AGO AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF SHE IS ALRIGHT BEFORE HE DIES.

As a genealogy site, we are not really geared up for modern searches or tracing adoptees.
A long shot that may be worth trying is the (free) namesearch on

If someone is on the telephone (and not ex-directory), then you may be able to compile a list of possible names.

Be careful in the way you open any contact, as people are naturally wary of unsolicited contacts, especially from someone claiming a relationship. Initial contact by post is greatly to be preferred.

Thanks for your msg and i have been given an address by one of your kind members of a sister of our adopted sister which we have written to and hopefully waiting a reply.
Along with this address the member gave me detailed evidence of the family i seek all i can say is what a fantastic chap this member is and how very greatful we are, sites like this are too few in my opinion and this site is great.
Goodluck to those tracing their trees and ancestors i personally find it a challenge doing so and am progressing very nicely with mine, with a few hitches here and there.
