John Britton - Lanark.....

Post by fortunata » Sun May 21, 2006 8:46 pm

Does this name ring a bell with anyone? In the 1881 census there is a John Britton aged 2years, listed as nephew living with my gtgtgt grandparents JohnBogue (Bayne on census), his wife and two daughters Mary and Bridget. Also listed were lodgers Hugh McGlone, age 36, John Maghan age 27, and Dan Luck age 42. As John Britton was a nephew, i would be pleased to find out the connections. Thanks.
Census place was Old Kilpatrick, Dumbarton.

Hello,

If you look at John's 1878 birth entry at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk this should give you his parents' names and hopefully you should be able to work it out from that.

BTW his surname is indexed as Briton at SP.
