Hi Karen
When i saw the names i wondered if it was more than likely they were married in Ireland ?
Looked for the first two on SP - as written no wild card - saw nothing.
Admittedly this one is Patron Submitted but you never know, might be worth looking into
1. EDWARD MITCHELL - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Christening: 13 JUL 1841 Cloonclare, Leitrim, Ireland
2. MICHAEL MITCHELL - International Genealogical Index
Gender: Male Christening: 23 MAY 1844 Cloonclare, Leitrim, Ireland
Father: PATRICK MITCHELL
Mother: BRIGID ROONEY
This submitter doesnt have a marriage for these two. Only a Pat Mitchell to Catherine Rooney 30 NOV 1855 Killasnet, Leitrim, Ireland

Thank you so much, thet could very well be them!! I hadnt given Ireland much thought with this line, I had been told they were all from Bonnie Scotland!!
I will have a good look in their area, again, thanks for the head start.

Hi Karen
If you decide to pursue the Leitrim avenue, I found their genealogy centre very helpful (not cheap, but helpful)
http://homepage.eircom.net/~leitrimgenealogy/
You might get some info here (originally posted by Hudggy) :
https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/csi/all_counties/csi.cfm
I was lucky and found a marriage through this site, then got the details (scant as they were) from the genealogy centre.
Good luck
