Thank you all, Im such a dolt, this was previously posted for me, and I did not make note of it <hanging head in shame> Ive prooperly updated my info.

I keep coming back to this branch of the tree, this where my infamous Bernard Feeney falls in, Ive yet to find out what happened to this man, I know he died in 1866, as youngest daughter Elizabeths D/C claims he is deceased, her birth was 16 Dec 1866. The wife Catherine died 4 MArch 1900 and is listed as the widow of Bernard Finnie.

At any rate thank you all for your help.
Karen

Hi Karen,
Glad you've found your notes!
For some reason Bernard FEENEY had seemed familiar when looking at the 1861 index earlier....
Soon discoverd why - Andy had got a lot on the family last year!
Could these be some other relatives in Glasgow 1861?

Alice FINNEY, 28, b Ireland

Jack:

Could verywell be, I'll have to do a little more delving, Alice is a new name for me.

I thought about writing to the Mitchell and see if there are any poorhouse records for old Barney, Ive checked the indexes that are online with no luck. But perhaps he was elsewhere in Scotland.

Previously it was suggested that he could have deserted the family, I havent given up on that take, thought I'd check the poor law for fun.

Cheers
Karen
