Hello: Although I say first time post I think I recognize some names from the old scotlandspeople discussion group?? Anyway here are the name and places I am researching. I have found lots of census data, BMD data, although many remain elusive. I am trying to go backwards with them now., It really helped that the 1841 census had some women with their maiden names but children with the father's last name.
Glasgow- Joseph Whitten and Jane Martin ( from Ireland), James Miller and Eliza Wilson ( from Ireland), John Duncan and Agnes McLaughlane
( Glasgow), James Wallace and Agnes( Annie) Stevenson( Dumbarton to Glasgow to Bo'ness), George Buchanan and Elizabeth Hunter( Glasgow), John Henderson and Margaret Smith ( Bo'ness), James Duncan and Christina Smith( father John and mother Jane Ma***, from Edinburgh. All these begin early 1800s. I also have Dicksons, Liverance, Murray, James Dow and Christina Clark ( Glasgow). The most elusive is Alexander Foot(e) and Marion Lindsay from Dunfermline. Their daughter Ann(ie) married John Henderson. I can't find any Foots!!
