hi, looking for rellies of Sarah McNiven. Sarah married James Paterson in Old Monkland, Lanarkshire, in 1863. Childern, Mary , Dugauld, Jane , James, AND William. James was an engineer and they lived in the Hamilton area of Glasgow.Any McNivens out there?.

& found what seem to be the family in the 1881 census - the children's names are not quite as expected but the pattern of moving from Old Monkland to Blantyre is the same, and the occupation looks similar. Looks like maybe some children may have left home, or maybe they didn't survive. A couple more younger children too.
