Chesney Antrim .....

Hi Does anyone have Chesney anceestors from Ahoghill Ballymena in Antrim
mine are from George Chesney of Ballylummin.

I don't have any Chesney's from Antrim although my father's family do come from Ballyclare. I'm just beginning my own real research in Ireland so am finding my way around the various sites available. Have you looked at:-

Hi Joker, do you have any info on George, ie dates, spouse, children etc?
Dont have any Chesney connections myself but found a James Chesney who married Chelly Gillespie in 1873 in Ahoghill, they had a son in 1873 who is unnamed and another son Alexander on 14/7/1874. Dont know if there is any connection to your George?

Thank you for your reply to my post
George Chesney was a Farmer from Ballylummin B. 1805-1883. He was
married to Jane McAllister B. 1814-1869, she died in Ballylummin.

Their son William Chesney B. 1833, married Rachel McCormick 1871
Ahoghill Antrim, they are my GG-grandparents.

George & Jane had 10 kids James married to Chelly was one.
