Expat Scots in England .....

Hi to all!
Would anyone out there please give even a wee bit of help?

My questions concern
A: Expat Scots in 18th century Kent England in general??

B: The ROBERTSONS in particular. In connexion with the latter my query concerns the following

Gender : Female
Surname(Maiden): ROBERTSON
Christian Name :FANNY
Born/Baptised: East Peckham Kent circa 1798

My question : What is the likelihood of her being of Scots Expat stock?

Do you have any other information on the family, e.g. the occupation of the father, births of siblings, etc.?

Hi Tuganneth,

For what it's worth, I live about ten miles from East Peckham. A nice little place with a great garden centre and two excellent pubs, one of which was undoubtedly around during Fanny's era. I've banged my head many times on the very low ceilings inside!

To Scooter I will certainly take on board that concerning the two pubs in East Peckham especially concerning the ceiling heights!

I have been unable at this stage to determine Fanny's parents or siblings
I tried the LDS IGI search without success.
I might consider determining which Christian names may be reasonable for her father at least

Though I have not yet been able to determine Fanny's siblings nor her parentage- her father would be my 4 x GT GD Father ROBERTSON It is possible the names of her children may provide a clue - directly or otherwise for determining dare I say when our ROBERTSON line may have emigrated from Scotland for parts elsewhere

The names in Birth Order are

Richard ; John ; Frances; William ; Thomas(my 2 x GT GD Father!); Anne ; Jane ; Samuel ; Caroline ; Elizabeth and Sarah Anne.
