Help with handwriting .....

Hi Everyone

I have uploaded a document to the gallery - awaiting approval. This is the attestation paper of a relative when he joined the Army in 1915. Part of it indicates that he had previous service and was discharged in 1907. I would be obliged if anyone could assist with suggestions on what the answer to question 7 on the form is - it looks like Volunteer Force left same in 1907

I am not quite certain that the first word is Volunteer - any suggestions gratefully received.

The second part of my questions is:- if it is volunteer force - what would this be - perhaps a TA unit ?? (he originated from Aberdeen and would have been 20 years old in 1907).

Hi folks
Sorry about the image - it is fixed now. It was all my fault

I had left the image in a kind of digital limbo - Admin could see it, but not anyone else!

No use whatsoever!!!!

Apologies all round! This is what happens when you are approving images & posting links whilst painting windows!
