Hi
Clubb is not a common name in Glasgow.
I have extensive records from the Calton Parish
So I had a wee butchers.
Found Paterson and Clubb, stationers in Virginia Street in the 1904 PO directory.
Also a William jnr a Postman, living in Lochiel Street and John in Cardross Street, also a GPO employee.
The Family in 1881
William senior married Mary Donaldson 1863, in The Calton.
Whether one of the sons, left the PO to take over the business, after their Father died I do not know.
If this is indeed the same Family, that you are looking for Wini.
Young William also was wed in the Calton to Mary Hosie in 1900.

I can see no Clubb bakers, in Glasgow, in the 1940s/ 50s PO directories that I have in the flat.
But I will check out the 1920s and 30s when I get home at the weekend.

There is a 1927 Glasgow Directory available on-line at
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com ... x-glas.htm
I had a look for the name Clubb (page is http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com ... mes177.jpg ) but couldn't see a bakery but you might find something by browing through some of the other sections.

Calton Bakery
Davie,
Thanks for looking for the Bakery. I have found out it would have been in the 1890's
William Junior, was a bit of a fibber. He claimed HE was born in Fort William and that the Bakery was his.
The Clubbs thought they were a bit above the rest and when William married Mary Hosie there was a great to do.
My cousin tells me she was worth ten of them.
I am reading what I can find on Calton and someday will maybe find it.
