Sutherlands from Caithness to New Zealand..plse, plse help!!

I am trying to find a connection to Christina Sutherland, born 16 Nov. 1838 who came to Lyttelton, New Zealand in June 1867 aboard the "Lincoln"

After finding the following at the library am hoping someone may have a connection to those mentioned

named one of their boys William Archibald Cook Sutherland born Brookside, Canterbury. Must tie in somewhere!!.

There is a Chritina Sutherland birth on the IGI for the date you mention, but it is a submission. Infact there are two submissions ...and they don't seem to agree about when she died! Have you any info on her death? Not sure about NZ records but a death may give you her parents' names....

My Christina Sutherland was the latter of the two who died 19 January, 1912. Her parents on her death cert. were William Sutherland & Christina Sutherland formerly Sutherland. I have been told the other one is incorrect.
I found on Freecen in 1861, place Wick Burg-Caithness a Christina Sutherland living with a Bain (House proprietor)family as a domestic servant unmarried aged 22 born Dunbeath, Caithness whom I believe was my Christina. She came to New Zealand in 1867 on the ship "Lincoln" & married William McLauchlan from the home of Mr Sutherland in 1868, a witness being James Sutherland, farmer, Selwyn.
I've written to Dunbeath Heritage without any joy. Nothing apparently on Scotlands People re her parents death etc.
A real mystery.
I need all the help I can get.
