Hi Maggie:

I just noticed your post. My ggg grandparents John McMurray and Margaret Anderson had 10 children in Renfrew in the early 1800s. Three of these children married Galbraiths. Ann maried William Galbraith in Renfrew in 1831,
John married Agnes Galbraith in Renfrew in 1832, and James married Janet Galbraith in Renfrew in 1837. Let me know if you think there are any connections.

Hi There,
Was wondering if either of you have the following in your Galbraith surnames, all were from Greenock: John Galbraith who married Catherine Docherty-Elizabeth Galbraith who married William Law-John Galbraith who married Catherine Smillie-John Galbraith who married Elizabeth McGhee-and lastly Catherine Galbraith who married a gentlemen with the last name of McGafferty?
Thank you,
Darlene

Hi Darlene:

Unfortunately I don't. My information on Gabraiths is limited to the connections they have with McMurrays and nothing connects with these names or with Greenock.
