Probably way off the mark here, but did any of your Crowes marry any Stewarts, Sloans or McCutcheons, all mainly Rutherglen / Cambuslang area?

I have childhood memories of a Jeannie Crowe and am almost sure she was from one of the above families and married a Crowe.

She must have been still around a while after 1948 when I was born or I'd not know of her.

Actually the Stewarts and Sloans are my Dad's parental ancestors, but one of the Sloans married into the McCutcheons and Dad and his cousins were quite close. Someone from this lot married a Crowe, but I can't remember who :?

The name just jumped out at me when I was looking at the posts.

Coo :D We might be sort of related :D

Hi Michelle,

Bit of a surprise for me because of your post. Curiosity got the better of me and I decided to try and find the Crowe marriage in my family.

I went off on one of those "branch" searches just out of curiosity you understand, and discovered ANOTHER sister for my paternal grandmother :D She was the one who married a Crowe :D One of her daughters was the Jeannie Crowe of my memory.

If not for your post I'd probably never have found out about her :D

Ta :!:
