Mundell's in Ireland .....

Post by scruffy » Thu Aug 31, 2006 6:39 pm

I am trying to trace my ancestors who came from Ireland, I think they may have come from Londonderry but am not sure, they could have come from anywhere, I am particularly looking for William Mundell and Ann Mundell nee Wallace but any information on any Mundell’s would be gratefully received

Thank you Scruffy

Hi Scruffy

Welcome to Talking Scot.

You didn't say what years you were looking for. I looked up the name William Mundall on the IGI. There are Mundells/Mundalls and other spellings of the name. Most on the IGI are from Scotland & England, though there are a few from Ireland too.

Take a look and see if any of them are yours.

Regards

Sheila

Welcome, Scruffy :D

I have ancestors originating in Ireland as well, some from Londonderry and some from parts of Antrim, Armagh, etc... and finding anything out about them is proving to be a nightmare, so I really do feel for you.

ancestryireland.com has been a bit of help, but I'm ](*,) ing it at the moment

Hi Emanday
I agree trying to find anyone in the emerald isle is frustrating indeed I think the only answer is to pay a visit.

Best of luck with you’re searching.
