Hi there, Many thanks for that info., don't suppose you have any list of family members of James Swan and Margaret Wilson. I have a son James Swan, born 1742 who married Margaret Lindsay, but no others. He is a direct ancestor of my husbands, his mother was a Swan. They had 11 children, that I have been able to find, so I would expect the previous generation to also have a large family. It gets terribly difficult the further back one goes!!!
Anyway thanks again.!

Thanks Andrew,
Must say I'm a bit surprised at the Kilwinning connection, but anythings possible, will have to do a bit of studying over this one, thanks again for your help.
