Sorry Cathy, Didn't stay in it long enough to find out how good it is. My pop-up blockers went nuts, but even they couldn't prevent a couple getting through!

If you've had a few drinks, see how you get on with the map of burial places on Mull.

My goodness - I didn't realise there were than many people on Mull - dead or alive! Searching for my Yule relatives there is going to be a bit trickier than I thought

Don't be fooled by the number of burial places, Clydesdale.
Having driven all around Mull, I believe the reason for so many of them is simply a matter of access! The roads on Mull, while now tarmaced, were in all likelyhood nothing more than tracks way back when. Even now, many are still only single track. Transporting the deceased for any distance would have been difficult, even in the more moderate seasons.
Easier, then, to have burials in places within easy reach.

Thank you for that Mary - it makes a lot of sense. I followed the link that Cathy entered for Mull Genealogy (thank you Cathy
) and brought up my Yules on the 1901 Census - parents and 7 kids. Now all I have to do is find out if they stayed there or went back to Peterhead.
