Childs death in 1913.

Post by worth » Sun Sep 17, 2006 10:51 am

Hi all,
I have a GG aunt in my tree, called Jane Heatlie who had a child in 1911 born in Selkirkshire, the childs name was Margaret Stewart.
Margaret died in 1913 aged 2 years, cause of death: Burns of both legs, Buttocks, back and abdomen.
Do you think that this death could of been in a local paper in 1913? If so were could i start looking?

Hi Dawn,

You cold try looking on www.genuki.org.uk to see what local papers served your particular part of Selkirkshire and take it from there.

Good luck
Donna

Hi Jockbird: I am interested in two of your names as posted in subject line. When you say north of the M8- what do you mean ? I know the M8 is a motorway but any specific villages/towns? I have Millars from Irvine and Hendersons from Bo'ness. Donna

Hi Donna,

My Henderson's originally hail from Morham & Haddington in Lothian and my Milla(e)rs hail from Lanark and ended up in Clydebank.
