Hullo Ellen

I suggest that you read the following posts for help in understanding the term Journeyman.

Otherwise, a shipwright was a carpenter working specifically with ships. I would think the Brass moulder does exactly what it says, moulds brass. Not sure exactly what the sheet-iron worker does. Producing the sheets of iron? Or fitting them in place?

Best wishes

Catriona

A shipwright was an important person in shipbuilding. He was the person who would ofttimes make the actual scale model of the ship from which the designers, marine engineers would work.
My Great-Grandfather was one & there are models that he made on display in the Science Museum in London.
They had to be accurate to the inch.He also made beautiful toys for the weans when he was too ill to work in the yards. He also made stage-props for Houdini the famous escapologist.
He also taught my Great-Aunt how to find, grade & work with the wood & she was only nine when he died.
