Post by ShellDeLeo » Sun Sep 24, 2006 3:31 pm

"Ref 43/5 1840 December 2nd - Colin McRae, fisherman
in
Boathaven was . to Christine Taylor in Pultneytown -
Murdoch McKenzie
fisherman in Boathaven cautioner for the man and John
Taylor, mason in
Louisburgh for the woman" Murdo McKenzie could be
Colin's grandfather
(ie
father of Mary), or could have been someone not
related. Hmm.....

colin mcrae was born in assynt abt 1807 mother was
mary mckenzie....he was on norman kerrs death cert as
the informant stated he was his cousin
he married in pultneytown wick caithness
just wondering if anyone has any additional info on
this family thanks michele
