There is an Annie Stone/Smith death record in 1933 age 59 on SP.
I take it you have looked at the Elizabeth Smith on SP born in Greenock in 1903 and it's not her?
Regards,
Annette M

Hi Ellen,
Could you post what information is on the death cert you have as sometimes you can work forward from that.
Do you definitely know that they married in Scotland? And that your granny was born in Scotland?
Did your granny have any siblings? You may get clearer information from a siblings birth certificate....I have ones with variations depending on who was the informant and how well they'd wetted the baby's head by the time they registered the birth. I have had to go sideways to go forward or back, many a time.
Re your other enquiry about death cert for your Granny. English death certs are nowhere near as informative as Scottish ones. We have been spoilt. There is no provision for parents name and they ask you only the place of birth of the person concerned.
Best wishes
Donna

There is a marriage of an Ann Stone in Antrim in 1905, also (less helpfully) also a James Smith.
In 1905 an Elizabeth Smith is born in Antrim and in following years a Flora and Nora again both in Antrim. No way to verify parents without spending £8 a pop.
Perhaps just a coincidence but there is nothing in Scotland until the mid 1920's trade directories and then Annie's death in 1933.

Searching for Keogh, Kelly, Fitzgerald, Riddell, Stewart, Wilson, McQuilkin, Lynch, Boyle, Cairney, Ross, King, McIlravey, McCurdy, Drennan and Woods (to name but a few).
Also looking for any information on Rathlin Island, County Antrim, Ireland.

Hi Ellen,
The website is www.ancestryireland.com
Not the easiest ar cheapest site to use but you may find something. No wildcards or Soundex on surnames so you'll have to search for Ann, Stone, Stones, Stain, Staine, Staines.
Best of luck.
PS I can't see the uploaded image.
