Beware the Parcel Scammers

This is to alert all TS users especially in the UK.The trading standards Office have brought the following scam to our attention:

A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a premium rate number). DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize.

If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will already have been billed £15 for the phone call.

If you do receive a card with these details, then please contact Royal Mail Fraud on 02072396655 or ICTIS (the premium rate service regulator) at http ://www.icstis.org.uk or your local trading standards office.

This is a genuine scam.
This service is under investigation by ICSTIS. Please be aware of this scam and forward this information to as many as possible.
I work as a civilain volunteer for the Met.Police & was alerted to this via them.

I hear of a lot of these schemes on the Internet that are actually legal.
Is this one?

Not sure probably one of those difficult to "pin it onto" ones because it's a scam from outside the EU.
Red tape as usual stops them from just closing down the line& hey they would have an other up & running within hours.
It amazes me what lengths people will go to to make money-have they never heard of a thing called work?
