Update to name rank and serial number

Sorry you'll have to read the previous post...it got a bit long.
I have found a few more things about the Townsends I'm researching.

The Francis Townsend of the original post ended up in South Africa, possibly sailing on the Armadale Castle which left Southhampton on 11th Nov 1920.

He was not widowed as stated in some of his army papers but divorced his estranged wife in South Africa in 1951 ..he would have been about 60.

The will he made in 1916 naming 2 sisters..Mrs AE Berry and Mrs Drake was proving a little difficult but I now have:
Catherine Meara Townsend (known as Kit)/ Alfred Edward Berry
Sarah Dorothy Townsend (Auntie Dolly - you were right Mum!!)/ Albert Drake

I believe both these sisters were born in Ireland...and that's another hard one!!

So.... the information is out there :D you just have to keep digging
Happy hunting, Sylvia
