I've been waiting for the Old Machar records for years as I know it contains info I need to continue my research but 2006 is almost over and still no further on.

I've been waiting for the Old Machar records for years as I know it contains info I need to continue my research but 2006 is almost over and still no further on.

There's nothing from the minutes of the most recent User Group meeting relating to timescale, only an answer to the query of which date applies in respect of an RCE in terms of the record being available on-line, - the date of the RCE, or the date of the original record (it's the latter, - boy, will I be glad when these minutes are published on ScotlandsPeople )

Note the comment re end of 2006 being tight.

The general process in terms of updates is that ScotlandonLine prefer to keep down the number of site updates to a minimum, so tend to package together updates, rather than having updates as often as there is new data or site or search engine improvements. You can agree or disagree with that approach but that's the way that it has operated over the last few years. Frustrating, I'd agree, in terms of the RCEs, as they've been available on the DIGROS system at NRH, Park Circus etc., for quite some months now. Personally I'd have hoped that the RCEs would be added when the OPR images are added............
