I'll give it a try till someone more tech-savvy than I comes along.

Have you managed to zip the files, or is that what you are having problems doing?

Open the Zip software, highlight the files you want to zip into one, then provide it with a unique name like NEW YEAR 2007. The software will add the .zip for you. Then tell the software, when prompted, in which directory the file is to be saved. (I always write this down so I can find it again)

Once I've done that, I check that the file has actually gone there.

When you go into your e-mail, Select: Attach File. Locate your zip file, highlight and hit return. Your email is now ready to send.

One of the problems with zip files, although they are useful, is that sometimes the size of the file can be more than your system can handle.

Hope this helps, but be sure to get back to the forum, if it doesn't and someone will be sure to sort it out.

Thanks for your reply Frances - I will give it a go
I want to be able to send individual photos all in one go instead of sending them individually.
Does that make sense?

Aha! I've had the same problem!!

The directions, I've given you, should work then.

An alternative is to use WORD.

1) Open a new WORD document.

2) Click on INSERT in the bar across the top of the page.

3) From the drop-down-menu:
  • a) click on PICTURE
    b) click on FROM FILE
    c) find the directory where your pictures are
    d) highlight the required file
    e) hit enter to select the file
    f) the picture will open in WORD
    g) click on the little icon at the corner of the picture and a diagonal arrow will appear
    h) using your mouse, drag that arrow diagonally to make the picture smaller
    i) release your mouse and click
    j) hit enter a couple of times
Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each photo you wish to include. Save your WORD document and attach in your e-mail.

When your e-mail is delivered, the person can re-size the photos and save to their PC, print or whatever they want.

Thanks for that idea, paddyscar. It would never have occurred to me to use Word to send pictures. Can't say I've had a reason to want to as of yet, but I've just decided after years of procrastination that I am going to finally accept the fact that I am living in the 21st century and break down and get myself a digital camera. I assume by using Word you could also include text like where/when/who the pictures are of. I'm big on labeling pictures, since I have so many pictures of "strangers".
