Dwelling: Stewartville House
Census Place: Govan, Lanark, Scotland
In 1881 it appears to have been a dwelling with a Ewing family, originally from Ayr, living there.
Google "Stewarton House" including the quotation marks and scroll down the page quite a bit or use Edit, Find on Page.

Stewartville House seems to have been on Stewartville Street, Partick [ Partick was part of Govan].
My 1894 OS map of the area doesn't have a 'house' marked as such. There is a Congregational Church, School [possibly St Peter's], and Abingdon Hall [ a place of Worship].
Sadly no sign in 1854 either

Re Kinnear Hart & Stewartville
Hi all,
There was a Stewartvale House on this map.
But seems to have been demolished by the 1890s.
It can be found on those wonderful NLS maps.

http://www.nls.uk/maps/townplans/townplans.html
--
Select Glasgow [1857-8]
Select box on LH side (West)
Select VI.5.14.
Stewartvale is near the bottom centre.
--
Compare 1857-8 to 1892-4 and you'll see that the Congregational Church
that you mention Wilma was erected quite near to the SW west corner of the house.
And that Stewartville Street was built over where the house and grounds once were.
As to what it was i don't know, but would probably cost a bob or two to build nowadays!
