trying to trace Ingram/McLean in Larne .....
Hi there, trying to trace family who once lived in Larne. My father's sister Charlotte Ingram Born in Paisley and married into McLean and had two sons Ian and Alistair. If anyone has any ideas how to go about this I would love to hear from you!!

Hi Aileen
Welcome to TalkingScot
I'm afraid we don't deal with finding living persons on here, but some of these links might help.

A search on Scotlands People may be of some help, but if the dates are likley to be more recent and after the cut-off dates online, as you are in Scotland, a visit to NRH in Edinburgh or Park Circus in Glasgow to search for any relevant births, marriage or death records might be your next step.
Best wishes

Hi Aileen
Do you know if she married in Scotland or was it in Ireland? And were the children born in Larne? If these records occured outside Scotland then New Register House or Park Circus will be of no use to you for foward tracing. I'm not familiar with what might exist for current records in Northern Ireland as all my digging has been in the opposite direction there
Perhaps someone will be able to offer you some specifically Irish links that will assist!! If not there is a nifty Irish Research seminar being planned for this Spring in Glasgow by some folks right here on TalkingScot. Maybe someone involved with that could give you some good advice!
Best wishes
Jean
