Hi
I am trying to trace the birth dates and marriage dates of my great x 3 grandparents Murdo McKenzie and Catherine McDonald I believe they were married circa 1803 in Ross and Cromarty, most likely in the Gairloch or Daibaig areas on the west coast of Scotland. Catherine died 26/9/1858 at Diabaig. I do not actual date of Murdo's death presumably pre 1841 as he was not found in that census.
They had 6 children, one of whom, Duncan is my great x 2 grandfather ( he was born about 1807 –again I would like to confirm his actual birth /chr date) He married Anne McPherson on 19 February 1832 at Gairloch. One of their 7 children, Isabella was my great great grandmother born in 1860. In the mid 1860s the family moved to Fearn
Any assistance would be appreciated.
thanks

Hi John:
You'll find their marriage recorded by entering their names in this search site.
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/ ... search.asp
Another search entering only Murdo McKenzie in the Father box and Catherine McDonald in the Mother box will provide you with info on children, Duncan, Anne, Mary, Janet. among others.
Hope this helps,
Frances

Hi John,
Was there any indication on the 1841 census that Catherine WAS a widow? A few of mine actually replaced the first name with "widow" and it was only by searching for the children that I managed to find those families.
Also, depending on his occupation, he may have simply have been away from home on census night.
